Copenhagen – Wroclaw – Krakau coming up

Since my return from holidays, I hardly had time to edit the photos from my trip(s). It has been really busy, but I hope to have some up very soon. Meanwhile I’ll leave you with one I took at Auschwitz … It was a heart-shattering experience, but it had been on my bucket list for years now and I am happy that I finally was able to visit it.

It might sound weird if I tell you I’ve never been to Copenhagen, or even Denmark. It will be my first visit to this beautiful city and country end of May. I’m mostly not much of a reader and even less for travel, but I mostly do some research for trips. I got this very nice book “The 500 hidden secrets of Copenhagen” from a friend of mine. So I guess I’ll have to start reading.

A few weeks back I was notified that my photo of the Belgian Pier in the coastal city of Blankenberge would be used as a cover photo for a limited stamp collection about Belgian architecture. Light art festivals – you just got to love them

As a photographer I just love night photography and even more if it’s at a light art festival. In the last year I’ve been to only 2. Glow in Eindhoven, which is my favorite and a smaller one in our capital, Brussels. I was actually pleasantly surprised from the Brussels one. I was driving with my MINI on the left bank of the river Schelde, when I saw the beautiful sky over Antwerp. I decided to pull over and take my Fuji X-M1 out for a walk and a quick shot of the Antwerp skyline. It turned out quite OK.
