During my travel through south Iceland in May of 2025, I visited the plane wreck of a crashed DC-3. The parking lot is next to the ring road, but it’s about an hour hike to the plane, through nothing than black sand beach. Since there was quite a wind, we decided to get on the shuttle bus that drives every 30 min.
